WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER SAY

1Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
As I read this passage this morning I had to giggle eventually it went from giggle to full blown laughter to the part where I was wiping the tears from my eyes.

Last night at our home group or cell whatever you want to call it, we where discussing our up and coming ladies night out on Friday night and the theme is “I’m unique” and we have to bring something that symbolizes our character or person, and one of my dear dolla sisters said I definitely need to bring a crown this really spoke to my heart strings as I love been the queen of my home and the queen of my beloved’s heart, the other one said no a tea cup (I hate to drink tea out of a mug or a cup that has a thick rim) and so the discussion ensued with hot pursuit our very amused home group leader said just bring a basket, nothing more needs to be said. A bit slow on my side I realized he meant a basket case, which I guess I could be if it was not for the love of my Lord and Savior and my darling beloved.

However I pondered on the characters that each one sees in me and this got me wondering what I portray to the world, do they see me confident and radiant or do they see a stuck up snob? What character do I portray when it’s just me and my family, am I loving and kind or cold and aloof?

Where the laughter came from was the thought of them (the world those who know of me but don’t know me) in seen me have one of my prima Donna fits that only my family has the privilege of seen (its not a pretty sight to behold), I could just see the Father shaking His head saying to His angels here she goes again, get ready for the tears and heartfelt repentance, …. Oh Lord how I so desperately need your guidance in my character so that when I come into situations where I am stretched that I remember to display the virtues and perfections of You Who called me out of darkness into Your marvelous light.

Dolla’s lets believe what the word says about our characters and remember that we are constantly been changed from Glory to Glory, lets get out there and behave as the royalty that we are through the precious blood of the Lamb
