DO WE HAVE A VISION FOR THE KING

Do we have a vision for the King!

With my coming talk at the Baptist church ladies day, I decided to do some research on ascot, it’s a very interesting race course and was the dream and concept of a woman, to be honest a Queen!

Her vision was to create a place worthy of nobility in her life a place where she could entertain and dine with royalty. Something like we are doing today. When we think of ascot in the early years thoughts of grandeur and splendor come to mind. A place of beautiful woman and handsome men dressed in the finery of that day and age. A place where the competitive spirit was the order of the day, as well as feasting and great rejoicing.

Can you imagine every time a new king and his queen arrived the trumpet would sound and all eyes would turn to the entrance can you hear the echoes of appreciation of wow beautiful exquisite, I guess there would be echoes of oh look what the cat dragged in oh how could she wear that.. All part of our human nature I guess.

This would never have been started if the Queen did not have a vision:

Can I ask you today if you have a vision? Or are you living to just get by?

In the book “the Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord” by Bishop T.D. Jakes. He says the following

“The woman was called to assist the Master in the creative process of childbirth. What a calling! By her very nature, woman is creative. She carries dreams in the womb of her mind and gives birth to ideas that will bring life to her family and her finances. Creativity is yet another gift God has given his daughters. You must use it to its full potential. The virtuous woman knows that through the grace of the Lord she was granted the ability to create, to be the force that brings forth great children and great ideas, a happy home and a life of riches. She knows she must make use of that special gift as God intended. She doesn’t sit around waiting for things to happen; she makes them happen. No, she doesn’t go chasing riches; she knows that by seeking God, He will take care of her. But she also knows that He is taking care of her by giving her the gifts of thought and creativity. What she does with those gifts is up to her.”

Lets have a look at what the word says about vision: PROVERBS 29:18” WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE PEOPLE RUN WILD” the new living bible. The word vision is used about 102 times in the word, I think God is trying to tell us something here ladies. Do you have a vision or are you running about wild.

Now just imagine the queen wanting a race course and had no idea where she was going, many of us have a dream to do something for God but because we have no vision for it we run wild and never reach the place of victory. The girls that are going to do the comrades marathon this next week end know where they are going where the start is and where the end is, imagine going to run the comrades and having no idea where you will be ending, all of us where there at one stage in our life before we meet Jesus, on a road but with no destination in site. Its only when we meet Jesus and made Him Lord of our lives did we have a race with a destination in mind.

Philippians 2:16Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.

There is a destination in running this race, we are not just going about our daily life with no hope for our future, yet we seem to get waylaid in our vision we run out of patience thinking our vision will never be fulfilled.

Hebrews 12:1THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

What weights us down: OUR ATTITUDE!!!!

Do we lose heart every time we are over looked to do something? What defines us in this race is it the world or is it God? Our vision firstly needs to be on Jesus. Are we so busy trying to work things for the King that we forget to bring in the presence of the King, remember for Ester to be made Queen she had to be ushered into the Kings presence, do we have a vision that ushers us into the Kings presence or are we so busy running wild that we don’t even hear the sound of the Kings trumpet? Calling us announcing us as his Queen? Girls do you know that the King loves you that He is enthralled by your beauty in
Psalm 45:10 Hear, O daughter, consider, submit, and consent to my instruction: forget also your own people and your father's house;
11So will the King desire your beauty; because He is your Lord, be submissive and reverence and honor Him.
Today are you going to allow the King to bring you into His presence are you going to allow the King to give you vision, are you prepared to meet Him? I want us to bow our heads and there where you are ask the King to show you areas where you have been running wild without vision and lets make our hearts ready to come before the king today!

I am actually going to send T.D Jake's quote to my pastor's wife as we are organizing a ladies' retreat that is specifically about releasing the God given gifts in the women. I think I'll get his book too, it sounds great....his stuff usually is.
Be blessed!
