Phi 4:8 For the rest, brothers, whatever is TRUE, whatever HONORABLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever PURE, whatever LOVELY, whatever of GOOD REPORT, if of any VIRTUE, and if of any PRAISE, think on these things.
The Lord lead me to this scripture this morning and as I pondered on it I wondered what the meaning of the words really meant, lets have a look at each one that is typed in caps
TRUE -
1. being in accordance with the actual state or conditions; conforming to reality or fact; not false: a true story.
2. real; genuine; authentic: true gold; true feelings.
3.sincere; not deceitful: a true interest in someone's welfare.
4.firm in allegiance; loyal; faithful; steadfast: a true friend.
5.being or reflecting the essential or genuine character of something: the true meaning of his statement.
6.conforming to or consistent with a standard, pattern, or the like: a true copy.
7.exact; precise; accurate; correct: a true balance.
8.of the right kind; such as it should be; proper: to arrange things in their true order.
HONORABLE
1.in accordance with or characterized by principles of honor; upright:
2.of high rank, dignity, or distinction; noble, illustrious, or distinguished.
3.worthy of honor and high respect; estimable; creditable.
4.bringing honor or credit; consistent with honor.
RIGHT
1.in accordance with what is good, proper, or just.
2.in conformity with fact, reason, truth, or some standard or principle; correct: the right solution; the right answer.
3.correct in judgment, opinion, or action.
4.fitting or appropriate; suitable: to say the right thing at the right time
PURE
1.free from anything of a different, inferior, or contaminating kind; free from extraneous matter: pure gold; pure water.
2.unmodified by an admixture; simple or homogeneous.
3.of unmixed descent or ancestry.
4.free from foreign or inappropriate elements.
5.clear; free from blemishes.
LOVELY
1.charmingly or exquisitely beautiful:
2.having a beauty that appeals to the heart or mind as well as to the eye, as a person or a face.
3.delightful; highly pleasing:
4.of a great moral or spiritual beauty:
5.Informal. a beautiful woman.
6.any person or thing that is pleasing, highly satisfying, or the like.
7.Nonstandard. very well; splendidly.

6.to offer grateful homage to (God or a deity), as in words or song.
7.sing someone's praises, to praise someone publicly and enthusiastically: He is always singing his wife's praises.
How awesome is our God that in one scripture He brought so much truth for us to live by. Dolla’s today why not ponder on what is true, honorable and right, lets be pure and lovely and of good report to those around us and may we bring praise and honor to our God today.
