JOHN 14:6 “Jesus said unto him “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by me.”

Rev 21:12 "and it had a great and high wall, with twelve gates. And on the gates were twelve angels, and having names inscribed, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel: "

John 10:9 “I am the door; by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved.”

Now the Old Testament is a shadow of the New Testament which is substance if you has to speak to any Jew he would know exactly what each gate/way meant. So when Jesus said I am the way they knew what the was speaking about. How do we get to a deeper relationship where we have life in abundance as John 10:10 says! I want to take you on a journey of these gates and as we take time to pause at each gate and take stock of our lives;

PSALM 100:4
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise…” the 1st gate is praise – we need to cone by praising Him even in our quite time.

1 PETER 4:13
“But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that when His glory shall be revealed you may be glad with exceeding joy” Jesus took our suffering upon Him so that we can walk in victory and exceeding joy in this new covenant with Him.

John 15:9 As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love.
John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

If we stay in that bond of love we will remain in the vine. Let us allow the love of Christ to dwell richly in our hearts and minds today

John 10:10 “I have come to give you life and life in abundance.”

What more can I say in every area of our lives He wants us to walk in His abundance in life taking all things into effect.

Eph 1:20 which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Let’s become right handed sons in the house of God

Psalm 118:6 Jehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do to me?
Psalm 118:7 Jehovah is for me among those who help me; and I will see my desire on those who hate me.

In other words God is for me why should I fear man? Do we walk in fear of man know that God judges in your favor.

Sweet requests, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “pray without ceasing.”

This is part of how God calls us to live closer to Him – Prayer is communication with God.

Matt 5:12 “rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven…” look towards the end goal – a runner looks ahead (faith race)

Psalm 23:6 “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.” We need to be planted in God’s house. We should be in the house for the house.

Phil 2:2 “ then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose” in prayer and rubbing shoulders with like minded people we will start to experience the joy that Christ makes complete.

Gen 49:20 “out of Asher his bread shall be fat and he shall yield royal dainties (pastries)”
Once again I am reminded of God desire to prosper us even in what we eat, be it spiritual or physical

Mat 7:13 Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it.
Mat 7:14 Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Even though we have all these other wonderful promises we will have to make sacrifices but as we do this and enter in through PRAISE, SUFFERING, LOVE, PRAYER, we will remain in the HOUSE there will be ADDED VALUE TO OUR LIFE, REWARD HAPPINESS and ABUNDANCE.

Tommy Tenney said “never trust a man without a limp, as you know just like Jacob the deceiver had to wrestle with the Lord and came away limping but he came away as Israel. Let us hold on to God let us wrestle and walk away changed by His glory.
Love always me

This is a fabulous post! I must print it out and re-read it again. It has special meaning to me as well, my son Joe is a Joseph, and I had the most awful pregnancy with him and feared having another child, lest the same happen. When I was pregnant with him God gave us his name (didn't even know I was having a boy yet then) and it's meaning "God will add" mean't a lot - we now have a daughter and all went well that time around, but it is awesome that the promises of God are yea and Amen and how he confirms, and shows us his word in wonderful ways.
