Last night I had a wonderful evening out with my hubbikins and our daughter Kirsty and her Friend Monique that has come to visit with us from Empangeni; it was her birthday so we told them they could pick the restaurant and the place of entertainment for themselves…..
They might be 16 and Kirsty going on 16 but in their hearts they are still the little girls that had dress up parties not so long ago…. We went to Mac Donald’s can you believe it…. Thought they might get a happy meal….which they had discussed in the car but when these 3 skater boys appeared gone was the happy meal and a normal meal was ordered… we sat back and laughed…gee how fast they grow up.
We then went off to a mall so that they could ice skate which lasted a whole coffee for us… and much needed catching up for Fred and I we seem to be missing each other in the course of our life up here in Pretoria. We then went tenpin bowling with them and I must say for two skinny chicky rickies they played very well even though it looked like they were going to go flying down the bowling lane with that ball.
Friend family loved ones…. Take time to spend with your kids having fun you learn a great deal about yourself when you do this.
