LAST NIGHT

Last night I had a wonderful evening out with my hubbikins and our daughter Kirsty and her Friend Monique that has come to visit with us from Empangeni; it was her birthday so we told them they could pick the restaurant and the place of entertainment for themselves…..
They might be 16 and Kirsty going on 16 but in their hearts they are still the little girls that had dress up parties not so long ago…. We went to Mac Donald’s can you believe it…. Thought they might get a happy meal….which they had discussed in the car but when these 3 skater boys appeared gone was the happy meal and a normal meal was ordered… we sat back and laughed…gee how fast they grow up.
We then went off to a mall so that they could ice skate which lasted a whole coffee for us… and much needed catching up for Fred and I we seem to be missing each other in the course of our life up here in Pretoria. We then went tenpin bowling with them and I must say for two skinny chicky rickies they played very well even though it looked like they were going to go flying down the bowling lane with that ball.
Friend family loved ones…. Take time to spend with your kids having fun you learn a great deal about yourself when you do this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS

Today we celebrated our princess, sweetie pie Kirsty’s birthday. I can’t believe our little baby doll is 15years old, she is such a delight. She is a wonderful daughter, even though she has a missy streak in her. I watcher sometimes and say to Fred I wonder where she got that from and he just throws his head back and laughs saying she is just like you.
I must say today when we took her shopping because she wanted clothes for her birthday it was wonderful she doesn’t just choose any thing she really takes her time and looks at it from all angles, her dad kept saying honey don’t look at the price tag because she will take something and put it back saying it was too expensive, one thing that we really have in common is we love lingerie, she bought the cutest polka dot set, I was quite envious as I would love a set like that my trade mark is pink, I love wearing pink lingerie, but doesn’t come in my size for now!
We then went and ate at ANAT’s my favorite and Kirsty’s as my dads family roots are Lebanese, we all had falafel, filled with lamb and yummy veggies. Wonderful day we had as a family.
So our darling princess HAPPY BIRTHDAY, we LOVE YOU.

ITS OFFICIAL

Its official prince charming asked beloved and I if he could have a chat to us, well we where none the wiser as he always asks our advice, however this time he looked quite serious and beloved and I where joking and just having some fun, when prince charming cleared his throat and asked beloved

Prince: You know how much I love this family and feel part of it right

Beloved: mm yeah

Prince: and in December I gave princess #1 a promise ring, well sir I would now like to ask you for your daughters hand in marriage?

Beloved: ____________________________

Me: oh my, when do you plan to do this?

Prince: oh 3 months or so?

Beloved: ________________________

Me: 3MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!

Beloved: okay my boy lets take it a bit slower, are you talking marriage or engagement

Prince: Marriage

Me:______________________

Beloved: let’s first get the engagement done then off to marriage counseling for you

Prince: but we aren’t married why counseling?
(Looking very confused)

Beloved: laugh laugh no silly to help you before you get married.

By now lots of tears and laughter all around.

So next Saturday is the official engagement party in pink and silver so lots of work for mom just had to share it with all my blogging dollas

CHILDREN OUR REWARD

Have you ever wondered about the journey God takes you on?
Many a day I sit and wonder where the next path may lead us, will we be happy will we be comfortable? These are questions one often asks in our journey of life, one of our preachers asked this question “ are we living with eternity in mind?” it really set my mind at ease after this question was posed.

With having children I am able to leave an inheritance behind, not just in material wealth but in spiritual wealth, the scripture comes to mind in Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are the inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is a reward. As I look at each one I see the reward in been a mom. I know that the only way for me to have eternity in mind for them is to each day be able to go down on my knees and pray for them, what a privilege to bring each one by name to pray for their future knowing without a shadow of a doubt that they are firmly fixed in the masters hands.

As life seems to get so busy and we are running from one meeting to the next ask your self this question “this that I am doing has it got eternity in mind?” “Will it make my children remember me or will I be an absent mother or father?”

Take time today to hug your children remember to greet them with a smile so they will see that they are a reward and not a burden let them see you enjoying their little behaviors that are their little stamp on life. Knowing that you have left their future securely in the Masters hand
